Smartcard and card-reader redirection in WTware

Post by digitalcomposer »

Hi

I want to open discuss here about Smartcard.

I have buy this acr39u - ACR39U (072f:b100) usb redaer supported on your list https://wtware.com/docs5/config.html#smartcard.

I use RaspberryPi and the device is not working properly, when the card is one time removed from the reader, second login is not possible.

I hope when you sell your OS that there is also support for the supported devices.

I think this will be usefull also for another peopel and hope you fix the problem.

Thanks.

We add device to supported after some user reports it works. This reader was added years ago. Perhaps something was changed in driver or in kernel usb code. Or manufacturer sells another device with the same name. I've just added "some devices are not supported" to list. In general, "some devices are not supported" is true for all other devices. We have less than a half of devices listed, so we can not test them.

Hi

Sorry but your answer is not so serious.

Your product is not for home user, your product is for Companys and if you want to sell wtware on Companys this answer and support is no go.

Send us one device if you have a lot of similar and we will try to support it. Or try more recent card reader. It's better to try device that works with raspbian on raspberry.

Status Update:

I have installed pcsc-tools on raspbian stretch. When i run pcsc_scan -n i can see when the card is removed or inserted.

After many tests, AC39U is not working under WTWARE, there is also no support for any reader at 100%.

We change the card-reader to Omnikey 3021, this reader is working.
