To improve graphic perfomance specify rdpcompression=on, bpp=16 parameters and do not enable desktop wallpapers. Is that what you are talking about?

In 2003 server,
1. Open Terminal Services Manager fullscreen maximized.
2. Display session status.
3. Press "Reset Counters".
4. Minimize to tray and maximize window five times. Here is a counters:
without rdpcompression
without rdpcompression
c0.png (14.27 KiB) Viewed 14189 times
5. Reset terminal and repeat with rdpcompression=on in config file. Here are counters:
rdpcompression=on
rdpcompression=on
c1.png (14.84 KiB) Viewed 14189 times
Outgoing is traffic from server to client. The same frames counts mean experiment is quite clean: server sends similar amount of drawing commands both times. With rdpcompression=on we got twice less total bytes and twice less bytes per frame. Do not look at "compression ratio" line, it's another compresion level.
