HELP! Can't get 60hz on 4k monitor, tried everything not the cables...

Post by ysammy8 »

Hi

I am trying to set a remote desktop connection to server 2019 to 4K resolution but cannot for the life of me get it to display at 4k 60HZ

I have used (obviously without the #)

##4K
#gpu_mem_1024=256
#framebuffer_depth=32
#framebuffer_width=3840
#framebuffer_height=2160
#max_framebuffer_width=3840
#max_framebuffer_height=2160
#hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080
#hdmi_drive=2
#hdmi_pixel_freq_limit=400000000
#hdmi_group=2
#hdmi_mode=87
#hdmi_timings=3840 1 48 32 80 2160 1 3 5 54 0 0 0 25 0 220430000 3
#hdmi_enable_4kp60=1
#core_freq_min=500

But this only puts the monitor in 4K 25Hz i've tried other things but also just gets stuck in 30hz

My cables are all hdmi 2.0 compliant so i've no idea what the issue is!! help :(

Stuck and would love to fix this urgently, please help!

Fixed it by doing

[HDMI:0]
hdmi_enable_4kp60=1

The monitor i was using had a HDMI port that was ONLY 30hz the 2nd HDMI port was 60hz :)

Note for someone in the future :)
