Did I miss something or did you guys suddenly start wanting $$$ for the Raspberry-PI version of WTware?

I just updated and also have the EVALUATION banner.

Is this a bug or is WTware really not free anymore for Raspberry Pi?

I was wondering the same thing. Upgraded from 5.6 to 5.8.4 and now have this EVALUATION banner.

Since 5.8.2 version Wtware for Raspberry Pi is not free anymore. The latest free version was 5.6.24: http://wtware.com/files/wtware.5.6.24.en.exe

Wow...really NOT cool. I have these deployed in factories all over the world. Now if any of my customers update their firmware I will get a phone call complaining that I didn't buy them a license. Thanks for the warning >:(

For me, as a new friend of WTware and as a company system administrator, i can definitely understand that after a long time of development and sleepless nights, there is a wish (and also a need) to earn some money for the passionate work that flowed into that piece of software, also to keep up the good work. But it would be also nice for the community (and the prospective customers like me) to hear some words about the decision and the developments to make it for comprehensible and transparent. To a great software product like this, some communication belongs to that, i think.

Hello, a new friend of WTware. Actually, we don't know what more ta say except what we have already said: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=48371
We decided to add licensing to WTware for Pi when we added Chromium and concurrent licensing.
