PC banking not working

Post by Stefaan »

Hi everybody,

At school we are using the Raspberry Pi 3B in combination with wtware. This is working great and we want to use it for administration as well. When testing, everything works, even the smardcard reader works properly which is great.

There is only one final problem. When using the smartcard reader for reading identity cards, it works properly as it should. When using the smartcard reader with a bankcard, we are not able to get into the system of the bank. I tried the same smartcard reader and bankcard on a regular laptop and this works as it should.

We think it has something to do with a protocol or something? When using it with an existing client, we have to set the rdp connection in the settings as legacy. Does it have to do something with this or is there someone else with the same problem?

When testing, the bankcard asks the pin code, but it cannot verificate it, so it seems it has something to do with a verification or protocol or something from the wtware Raspberry Pi through rdp to the terminal server.

What can we do to solve it? It's our final problem, everything works great.

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely yours,

Stefaan

Dear aka,

The smartcard reader I use is: ACS - ACR38
This is the log for using the smartcard reader with a regular identity card:
Smartcard present.

As you can see, there are errors, but it works as it should.

Now come the logs for using the smartcard reader with a bankcard:

[ rdpdr-scard] [ 823.496165] rdpdr[scard]-opencttools.cpp ( 288): -- ERROR -- INTERNAL ERROR. Please, contact WTware tech support.

Do you have any idea what it could be?

Thanks in advance!

Please, read carefully and execute every step as it's written:

There is no "cut log and hide everything important from techsupport" text. Mail log to support@wtware.com if you think it needs to stay secure.

Dear Aka,

A couple of days ago we bought another cardreader which is from the list. We bought the ACR39U-l1-m. It works worse than the cardreader we used which was not on the list. When inserting the id card, it works, but from the moment we eject it, the cardreader hangs. Also pc banking is not working with this card.

Is there a possibility to get into the system by using ssh so we can try certain codes ourselves or is there another option to get it working?

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely yours,

Stefaan

Dear Aka,

Thanks for your reply. A couple of days ago I have sent a logfile from another cardreader. Were you able to analyse the log? Is there a cardreader which is 100% fully functional from your list?

Thanks in advance!

I see mail with ACR38 SmartCard Reader log. It is a wtware issue, we need more time to fix it. Before your mail, I thought this reader is 100% fully functional.

Dear Aka,

Thanks for your fast reply. I tried installing WTWare and creating a bootable media, but there is an error which occurs on startup of the system in Raspberry Pi. I have tried it several times, but everytime I want to startup the Raspberry Pi the error occurs:

sh: can't open /usr/ter-c0b.psf: no such file

Error: internal error.
Wtware 5.6.25/RPI
File: console.cpp
Line: 362

This is the error.

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely yours,
