Video driver for HP T5145

Post by Paul »

Hello!
I was trying to find a suitable driver for a HP T5145 thin client under WTware.
Until now i was not able to get a resolution of 1280x1024.
The driver intelfb, suggested by the wizard, does not work.
The driver vesa(s) is working fine for a resolution up to 1024x768,
but if configured @ 1280x1024 the desktop is only partially visible . . . i see 1024x768 pixels of the 1280x1024 pixel desktop.

The graphic chip of the HP T5145 should be VIA chrome 9 HC3, at least it says so here.

If someone knows how to run this piece of hardware properly with WTware @ 1280x1024, i would be glad to read about it. :)

With greetings from Austria,

Paul

The solution for this problem was to use a DVI Monitor cable instead of the VGA type.

For some reason, the resolution is 1280x1024 when the terminal is booting with the DVI connected monitor, and 1024x768 when the terminal is booting with the Monitor connected via VGA cable.

For further testing, i tried to add the command "noddc = on" in the .wtc config file, with no effect to that behaviour.
