2 Monitor Setup

Post by Cincopyro »

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a pi 4 to use 2 monitors when connecting to a windows RDP session my config is:

infobox=always, shutdown, reboot
display=1920x1080, HDMI
server=192.168.223.128
M2_display=1920x1080, HDMI
video=i915(F)
M2_position=right
managed=on
connection
M2_next screen
connection

When connecting to the RDP session both monitors are used as in both show the login screen but once I input login creds it will only display windows on one of the screens and the other will stay on the WTware login screen. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here based on the documentation for multi-monitor setups I think my config is correct.

From manual about logs https://wtware.com/logs.html
2. Remove all unnecessary lines from config. For example, if you have problem with usb barcode scanner, leave only server= and serial= parameters and remove all other lines.
After removing all unnecessary lines your config should be:

Code: Select all

infobox=always, shutdown, reboot
server=192.168.223.128
managed=on
Try it.

Thank you and I apologize, I've made the following changes:

a) Updated my WTware to 5.8.72
b) updated to the same on the pi

Rebooted the pi and logged into my terminal, both screens work now. I just hope me ignoring the basics will help others...again sorry for failing to do the basics before posting I appreciate your help WTware is an amazing product.
