It should work. "Alt Gr" key used in "Alt Gr + Q" should make Euro with "Alt Gr + E" in recent wtware version.

Please, show me terminal log after "Alt Gr + E" : http://wtware.com/logs.html
And photo of the screen with wtware interface you try to enter Euro sign in.

Mail it to support@wtware.com

Hello,

sorry for the very late answer.
I just tested the newest version and the problem still persists.
V: 6.2.52

German Keyboard Euro symbol (€) not working

by Stacey » Mon Oct 07, 2024 2:17 pm

Hello,

I’m encountering the following issue:
I have WTware running on a laptop with a German keyboard (QWERTZ). However, the Euro symbol (€) does not work in the login dialog from wtware when using "Alt Gr + E".
Also no other way like (Strg + Alt + E) is working.
Interestingly, the @ symbol (Alt Gr + Q) works perfectly, and characters like ä, ö, and ü are functioning as expected. The keyboard layout is also correctly recognized as German.

I’ve tried various German keyboard layouts using their hex codes, but the problem persists.
I've also tested different keyboards and encountered the same issue on a Raspberry Pi, which rules out the possibility that the device is causing the problem.

In the configuration file, I’ve already added the following parameters:

Code: Select all

keyboard=de
language=de,default
Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved.
