"boot drivers" is a nice phrase to show difference between linux kernel for Amlogic / Rockchip / etc. and linux kernel for Raspberry Pi. For Amlogic we have "boot drivers". For Raspberry we have maintained kernel with commits every week for years:

We'll be glad to port WTware to another ARM when another manufacturer will support linux kernel for their CPU instead of unmaintained "boot drivers". Every week. For years.
