Noone tells you is your administrative office task between "typing in Word" (which works without cooling) and "fullscreen youtube" (which will trotle even with active cooling). Try it with passive cooling. Install new bootloader, "Recovery" section on official site: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/ People write it lowers temperature a little.

Thank you for your response.

By "run WTware", I mean to run it as an OS on the RPi4, as you would expect for RDP. Mostly for administrative office tasks - email, documents, accounting, etc.

What is "run wtware"?
To type text in Word, passive cooling is enough.
To watch youtube fullscreen, active cooling is not enough.

Raspberry Pi 4 Heat Generation

Hi,

I would like to run wtware on the Raspberry Pi 4 (I dont currently have a Raspberry Pi 4).

I was wondering what everyone's experience has been with the heat generated by the Pi4 while running wtware? Does it require active cooling? or would I be able to get away with using only passive cooling for it?

Thank you,
John
