Configuration adjustment in config.txt is available on WTware clients. config.txt parsed by raspberry firmware before WTware boots up.

WTware 5.8.88 released on December 09, 2019, so raspberry firmware and linux kernel was new at December 09, 2019. Patches applied after December 09, 2019 are not included into wtware 5.8.88.

I found this interesting und koresponding Forum entry at Raspberrypi.org:

https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... d&start=25

How can I ensure that the configuration adjustment is available on the WTWare clients?

No, as far as I know. "Attached to firmware from 2019-11-19" in log is a bootcode.bin/fixup4.dat/start4.elf files date.

Hello again,
it seems that the bootloader caused the problem.
After update bootloader there are no more dropouts while writing or moving the mouse.

What we have done:
- power off, unplugged all connecting cables and SD card (WTware)
- unpacking bootloader on empty SD card
- plugged in SD card with bootloader in Raspberry Pi 4B and power on until the green led flash quickly
- power off, plugged in all connecting cables and SD card (WTware) > power on
- everthing works

Thanks for your help.

Good evening,
I have updated the bootloader with the version in the link above.
Until now (in about 4 hours) there are no dropouts of the desktop set, but I want to do some more testing tomorrow.

Try to update bootloader. "recovery" section here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/

They changed something in USB hub code.

desktop set CHERRY DW 5100 with dropouts

by frujo » Fri Jan 10, 2020 8:09 pm

Hello,
we use Raspberry Pi 4 (1GB RAM) with WTware version 5.8.88 as ThinClient and work via remote desktop connection on Windows Server 2012. Connected is the desktop set (mouse + keyboard) CHERRY DW 5100. Here we get dropouts again and again, so that either the mouse does not move anymore or too many or no characters can be entered via the keyboard. Unplugging and plugging in the USB dongle solves the problem in most cases.

We have already tried different versions (5.8.84; 5.8.76) of WTware, the problem persists there as well. Furthermore we have tried the following options in the command line:
dwc_otg.lpm_enable=1
dwc_otg.speed=1
Even then the same problem exists.

With the Raspberry Pi 3B and WTware 5.6.24 there were no problems with this desktop set so far.

What else can we try? Does anyone have a tip to prevent keyboard and mouse failures?

Many thanks in advance.
