Use SD card for Raspberry. Not USB thumbdrives.

Boot to black screen from USB

Have a Raspberry Pi 3 B+, have tried 4 different USB thumbdrives, have tested those thumbdrives with Etcher and Raspbian and they boot fine. Using the latest WTWare Configurator (5.8.54) running as Admin. Select local boot files on USB disk. Each time I boot Raspberry Pi, all I get is a black screen and the red power light on the Raspberry Pi. that's it. Files in Configs folder are below:

config.wtc is:

server=WX (this is the machine I'm trying to RDP into)
display=1920x1080
chrome_language=en
graphic=abcdefg
connection

initrd.wtc is:

clientIP = 192.168.1.117 (this is the IP I assigned the Raspberry Pi 3 B+)
netmask = 255.255.255.0
nameserverIP = 192.168.1.100
config = local
setupPassword = a7957cce39891c8668f5190c19872f0f

All devices using wired Ethernet. Have tried with Windows 10 firewall turned on and off. Made sure RDP was enabled on server WX.

This is testing and learning for me with the product. Am I doing something wrong?
