Re: Massive rollout configs?
It would be nice to have the option, per-subnet ideally, to set a default profile for 'unknown' terminals. If nothing else, users can then change a faulty terminal without further input from IT. Of course this function might not be needed nor preferred in all situations.

Re: How to Dual Boot Old "pxelinux.0" and "5.4.32\kernel7.img"
If you use another DHCP server, it can be done with scope policies to determine the options based on device MAC address matching. The wtware article describes this here.
Hope that helps.

Re: Massive rollout configs?
You need to create the SD card manually as that contains effectively the PXE boot code (which the RPi lacks). Then you need to create a policy template in wtware, boot up all the RPis via network boot, then drag the template onto each and reboot. It is a one-time thing but it would be better if the ...

Release Notes & Upgrade Procedures
Please can you post release notes, and also any notes pertinent to upgrading existing installations. For example when upgrading server wtware centre, are there any circumstances that this might cause active clients to be rebooted? I realise that, if using external DHCP server, the options will need ...

Re: WTware & Raspberry Pi power on
We have decided to just leave the RPi itself to run forever; it's consumption at 1W idle is about the same as a PC in sleep anyway. It can be made to put the monitors to sleep via config.txt, # Enable HDMI Power Management hdmi_blanking=1 And, adding to the profile, sleep=10,poweroff Should you need...

Re: Slow RDP Connection
I'm thinking Windows firewall session timeout. Maybe grab a wireshark from a mirror port (at the RPi end) to see.Rah wrote:We also notice this with a simple action like clicking the startmenu icon (when we havent used it in 15 minutes or longer).

Re: Not booting after update
It would be useful to have a way to push out SD card updates - firmware, boot loader and config.txt.

Re: WTware Centre - Suggestions
Thanks, a couple more! Terminal list in wtware Centre should show status of each terminal in the list (online or offline). Eg the workstation type icon (PC/RPi) could be greyed-out as it is now for offline or coloured when terminal is online, discovered by ping or such every minute of so perhaps. wt...

To summarise - start firefox in safe mode (hold shift) then in advanced options, clear the option to use hardware acceleration. Restart Firefox.

WTware Centre - Suggestions
We are continuing to test this product and finding it's working well for us so far 8) Here are some suggestions: Organise terminals automatically by subnet (i.e. some kind of tree view). It would be fine for the admin to have to manually enter the subnets (like in AD Sites & Services). Terminals...

Re: How to upgrade
If you are using an alternative DHCP server, option 67 must also be updated for the subnet(s) to serve the new version images as well.

Re: Raspberry Pi 3
It is a well documented problem with RPi3 WiFi - the kernel device power management causes the poor performance. I believe in Rasbian this is now disabled for the WiFi card by default.
