Re: OpenVPN windows server
No. It's better to boot from USB flash while testing. Because you can disconnect USB flash and write file into config folder on another computer. Duh, I should have thought about that myself :-( So if we include the openvpn.cfg we do not need to specify anything further or transfer the 3 client fil...

Re: OpenVPN windows server
Thanks, I will try that.
Can I also copy openvpn.cfg from a usb stick to the configs folder on a command line? Is the usb automatically mounted ?
Have some problems accessing the web-interface while connected by wifi.

OpenVPN windows server
Do I understand correctly that the wtware OpenVPN client will not connect to a OpenVPN server on Windows?
https://wtware.com/docs5/openvpn.html
The client connects to the server but then connection is lost, wtware disconnects and the server shows errors 10054

What are the improvements in 5.8.2 and later compared to the last free version 5.6.24 ?

Re: Two monitors
Is it also possible in the rdp session to use the two monitors in Duplicate mode ?
Ideally to let the user choose/switch between Extend and Duplicate.
At the moment in the display settings the options for this are greyed out for the user.

Re: Sony Cybershot
Great atatik !
Changing the setting from auto to mass storage made it work indeed.
The USB id is now:
[3] USB ID: 054c:0010, bus ID: 1-1.3.4, class: 0x00, subclass: 0x00, Sony Corp. DSC-S30/S70/S75/F505V/F505/FD92/W1 Cybershot/Mavica Digital Cam

Re: Sony Cybershot
The display on the camera stays on status "USB Mode: Connecting"
It doesn't switch to "USB Mode: Mass Storage. Memory Stick"

Sony Cybershot
Is there anything extra I need to do to access images on a digital camera ? It is a Sony Cybershot DSC-W35, we see it in the USB device list: USB ID: 054c:0010, bus ID: 1-1.3.3, class: 0x00, subclass: 0x00, Sony Corp. So no support for dual monitor in the near future I understand ?akatik wrote:There is no Linux kernel support for VGA Shield. We should write our own driver to draw. And it's old analog VGA with 18-bit (6 bit for channel) color... I dislike it.

Also check you give all CPUs and CPU cores to virtual machine. Video stream unpacked and then compressed again into RDP format on server, so CPU performance is important for server On a VM server, would it be better to allocated CPU's or cores to the VM to maximize the performance ? E.g. we can all...

reconnection ?
For some reason sometimes our clients lose their connection to the server during the night. They all show a message "Tcp connection lost. Reconnect?" in the morning. Is there a way to force them to try to reconnect for 5 minutes or so, so that they present the logon screen again ? There is...

Re: Power RPI by monitor USB port
I have found a workaround for this. Once you connect the USB host cable to a 5v usb phone charger you will trick the monitor into thinking it is connected and will thus enable the power to the usb ports. The good part about this construction is that your raspberry pi will now power on and off with ...
