Beside video we see some mouse tracks, rectangles under the mouse pointer when the clients move the mouse, which not happens on the windows 7 native rdp client.
Just tested another machine with Radeon HD7570 Graphics. Same Problem. Graphics test with wtware says 6.87 seconds radeon(F). Is this a good or bad value? Same machine with ati(u) driver 12.7 seconds
P.S.: In the 2012 Thread i read that Rpi2 can play youtube videos
redraw_delay=50 makes rectangles under mouse to be updated a bit faster. General graphic speed becomes lower, but if rectangles are so important...
6.87 seconds are good. RPi takes about 20 seconds to execute this test. This is a CPU => video memory benchmark. Before coming to thin client CPU, video is rendered on server. Then lossy is compressed again, this time with RDP video codec. Then passes over network.
There is completely new RDP graphic codec in 2012R2. It plays video much faster than older RDP, so that even RPi can display something that looks like video in a small window. And it makes low quality youtube video even worse.
Its not realy quicker with your settings. Open up a pdf on the terminal, scroll the mouse wheel, nothing happens, move the mouse and see rectangles with the moved text from the pdf, then the whole pdf scrools and gets refreshed.
As this is a publishing company, this is something they do very often
Please, record me video of screen with so slow pdf.
And save the log after you record this video.
Here is manual about logs:
