Circling back on this, the delay seems to be with our network establishing a call through to our data centre and establishing the connection.

It does not seem to be an issue of the SIP client.

Thanks for the responses

I'm also testing the SIP client here, using Elastix 2.6, and I dont see this behavior here, its working just fine. Nevertheless, Good luck !

SIP client slow to respond - outbound calls only

Hi,

Firstly - great software - thank you very much.

I'm using a RPI 3 model B. All works well except the SIP client is a little slow to dial out.

When placing a call, there is several seconds, maybe up to 10, of silence - then the call starts ringing.

We are connecting to FreePBX 13 (Asterisk). We don't have this issue with soft clients on other computers or with the Aastra desk phones.

Inbound calls are instant - starts ringing on the RPI no problem.

Any advice?

Also - the keypad does not make any noise when dialing from it - or selecting DTMF keys in a call.

If this is how the LINPHONE client naturally works - then apologies - it's not your issue.
